Emergency appeal toolkit
Mary's Meals feed children in countries around the world that are prone to natural disasters, famines, and wars, therefore we periodically launch emergency appeals to raise funds for the countries affected.
I noticed a lack of consistency and unity in our appeals and decided to create a cohesive emergency appeal toolkit that would standardise all our appeals and allow us to quickly populate and distribute them to allow for maximum impact, and most importantly, raise as much money as possible for those affected by the emergency.
I researched other brands and charities emergency campaigns.
Taking inspiration from the most successful designs and learning from the ones that were not as successful, the research led me into creating a distinct, simple and clean toolkit.
The branding enhanced our hard-hitting footage and drove the issue home for many.
The branding was carried through into the video content with and captions and outro motion graphics.
The toolkit has been used for three emergency appeals so far.
The branding resonated with audiences for each of our emergency campaigns, being picked up by multiple news outlets and media and encouraging many people to donate their time, efforts and money to the causes.
